Breed Standards
Traditional type matters
We breed our poultry to the specific breed standards set out by their respective breed clubs and described in the British Poultry Standards. The exception to this is the French Black Copper Marans, with their standard produced by French councils.
Across the flock, breed characteristics are considered alongside the health, fertility and practical qualities of the bird.
